Genovese- The Italian pesto basil with a heady, spicy fragrance and taste. Uniform, tall and relatively slow to flower, Genovese has heady and spicy dark green leaves.
Purple Basil- produces light pink flowers and dark, large, ruffled sweet smelling leaves.
Thai Basil- It has small leaves, purple stems and a subtle licorice or mint flavor. The stronger flavor of Thai Basil makes it a perfect herb for Thai and Vietnamese dishes as well as other oriental cuisines. Also perfect for adobo.
